This is it. It’s our collective angling “toy” time. I don’t think we ever really grow up when it comes to playing with toys. Sure, we are thrust upon responsibility and challenges as we get older. Yet, as anglers, discovering, learning, using, and falling in love with certain techniques and equipment can ultimately be tied back to our childhood where we instantly became infatuated with that one interesting new toy.
Fishing tackle, much like a child’s toy can be played with and enjoyed for a brief moment in time cast aside never to be cared about again. However, every now and then there is that one item that sticks with you. Capable of bringing you long lasting joy and memories. Essentially, engrained in your mind when off the water thinking about that next outing.
I am here much like many of you to learn about all the “toys” we as anglers enjoy. Hopefully, to discover that next great lure, rod, reel or piece of equipment that I will build memories fishing with my family as we play, fish, and grow older together.
